Getting my Gears Oiled

Hey folkses!

I swear, it's not as sick as it sounds >_>

As you've noticed, I've been kinda creatively 'dry' lately and that's causing problems for my poetry and my novel, so I'm gonna be putting some pieces up. Some of them I like, but others I might start sticking into that new 'journal poetry' category, just because they suck so much.

So, I now ask a question: What do YOU do to get your creative gears oiled?

Visit Prompt A Day.
Or, if there's a particular piece I'm already inspired for, but stuck on, I take a shower. Or do something else which precludes me from being able to write. Then, while I'm stuck without a way to capture the ideas, they come to me. That's using Murphy's Law. ;) Of course, it also means I have to repeat them to myself over and over until I can write them down.

Yeah, generally I just kinda force myself to write until something good comes out.
